Sub Culture Records is one of those record companies lead by a nice guy with lots of cool bands around him. If you are into retro (80's sound): this is your house! Now enjoy, there is something for everybody!

Electronic Warfar (2015 version) is a cover from Apoptygma Berzerk by Technomancer featuring Angst Pop (known from Shatoo). It’s always hard to cover your heroes, but this one is a pleasure to listen too: a shot in the rose and very catchy! Off course this one has the typical Roy Digre structure (aka Technomancer).

Train to Spain is a lovely female fronted band with a catchy sound and vocals that will make you melt or turn you on and on. Keep on running is really a heavenly and very poppy track that will bring spring in your house (and more …).

Chronos Titan is a legend in Scandinavia and lately there is a lot of fuzz going on about the new album. Sadly for Chronos this industrial/ retro electro minimal wave minded track is totally not my thing, to slow and not enough variety in it (and I honestly had high expectations due to this fuzz). Valium VI is not really the kind of medication for me.

I loved the latest EP of Touching the void, the vocals and the retro wave sound are really my kind of music! Fragment (Substaat Remix) is a heavenly track, very poppy, melancholic and catchy!

Simply the best thing from Scandinavia! Naked LunchEmotional Turmoil (Eddie B. Redux) is another legendary band from Scandinavia’s past, the sound still refers to the past, very electronic with that special voice (comes close to Fad Gadget). Lots of fans will love this one, for sure!

ShatooNothing that I wouldn’t do (Technomancer Remix) gets a dance version with Roy’s vocals on top of it. Shatoo is working hard on a new album, after launching a few great tracks! Time to present us the result! Zone Tripper Pushing onwards is one of those projects in which Roy (Technomancer) puts lots of time. Expect more retro and more synths (think about a space synth track and make variations on it, enriched by an electronic drum). No vocals on this one, just a bit more beats and for fans of this genre!

Zweistürzende AltbautenSs’jabroka is heavy industrial with metal influences and referring to Einstürzende Neubauten. To me it feels a bit like influenced by Hypnoskull too. Not bad at all, despite not being my thing. Carlos Péron (yess: the guy from Yellow) brings us heavy bass and a cool electro sound with the catchy Der Komtur!

Have you yet danced on it? Well try it out! Give it a chance! Substaat Electric is more my thing with the cool melancholic voice (sounds pretty close to Wolfsheim), yet very poppy and happy. I feel like jumping up and down, might be already the spring feeling or is it really the music?

Another living legend is Attrition (aka Martin Bowes, from the UK) One Horse Rider (Technomancer remix), mixed with the typical Roy Digre’s touch. I know the original and this one gets a new sound, but keeps the original strength. iEuropean feat. Wolfgang Flür Beat Perfecto is a 2015 version of Kraftwerk. You can call it a futuristic synth pop track with a slow tempo.

PsykosisterDisco Town brings us electro disco with a cool female voice and makes you want to know more about this one, so check it out! It’s a cool track and there is more to discover!

Laboratory 5 is another musical project from Roy Digre (this time a duet with Max/Static): expect more beats on this one and more tempo. The sound is typical for Roy, those who know him can confirm that, otherwise: just check them all out and hear for yourself!

Rosetti’s Compas is the last one and yet another living legend from the past. The sound could be a bit better on this one (louder), but the retro sound comes over pretty close. It’s in fact the demo version of Perfection, a great end track (but I prefer the final version).

I hope you all got found your band and got hooked on it? I know what to order from the label boss … Thank you Per Aksel for sending this one to me!
