Sweet Pill is showcasing their softer side. The Philadelphia-based band is back with a brand new track - a testament to their dynamic quality and ability to shapeshift from tracks of angst to down-tempo melodic masterpieces.

“Eternal” is just one track off the band’s highly-anticipated Starchild EP – with which fans can expect Sweet Pill’s most masterful (and vulnerable) work yet, with a collection of songs which vocalist Zayna Youssef says is “an introspective look at battling anxieties.” And whether you’re a new fan, or a day one supporter, one thing’s for sure: the band is one of the most promising and flourishing punk acts of the moment. The band’s buzz is unstoppable and the quintet was recently named a 2024 Artist to Watch by Alternative Press.

Sweet Pill’s Jayce Williams shares of the new track:
“Eternal - this song makes me feel like I’m at home. The music is soft and comfortable but the lyrics still cut like a knife. I remember playing the main riff of this while sitting on my couch, Zayna was in the other room and immediately stopped what she was doing to sing the melody that popped into her head. When we write a song as a band it is usually a meticulous and lengthy project, writing Eternal was smooth - the structure came together and overall just made sense. This is a new sound for Sweet Pill, similar to how Starchild and Chewed Up stand out from tracks on Where the Heart Is, and we’re excited to showcase our dynamics.”
