Rock Werchter heeft zonet aangekondigd dat The Prodigy zal aantreden op zaterdag 27 juni. Lees binnenin het officiële persbericht:
"A monstrous alliance of beats and rock! The Prodigy are playing Rock Werchter 2015. They will perform on Saturday June 27. The Prodigy was crucial in bringing dance music to a more guitar minded audience. In 1997 The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers – who will also be present this year - were the first dance acts to close the Rock Werchter festival on the Main Stage. It was a fast and furious all round success! Keith Flint and Maxim set the place on fire with smash hits like ‘Out of Space’, ‘Firestarter’, ‘Poison’ and ‘Smack My Bitch Up’, all masterminded by Liam Howlett. He is also the director of the upcoming album ‘The Day Is My Enemy’ (2015). It is a combative record which criticizes the culture of the superstar DJs with their USB sticks, a journey through the unchartered underbelly of urban nightlife where anger is an ever-present energy lurking just beneath the surface of an edgy calm. After 25 years of wear and tear The Prodigy sounds just as good as ever. This is punk rock 2015-style.
The names announced so far for Rock Werchter 2015, from A to Z: alt-J, Angus and Julia Stone, Balthazar, Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals, Ben Howard, Caribou, Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley, Damien Rice, Death Cab For Cutie, Florence + the Machine, Foo Fighters, Hozier, Jungle, Kasabian, Lenny Kravitz, Muse, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Oscar and The Wolf, Pharrell Williams, Rise Against, Róisín Murphy, Royal Blood, Sam Smith, The Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy, The Script and The War on Drugs. More names will be announced soon.
Rock Werchter 2015 runs from Thursday 25 June to Sunday 28 June. Tickets are on sale via ticketmaster.be. There are no more one day tickets available for Thursday 25 June.
