RÖYKSOPP - IF YOU WANT ME (FT. SUSANNE SUNDFOR) got me hooked to their really nice sound and amazing vocals! I also adore the melancholic touch! But I must say I was totally overwhelmed by the dark and edgy single Cold Hard World! Seems like Belgium has another great artist on the map: Naima Joris! She gets the title of single of the week!

NAIMA JORIS - COLD HARD WORLD

Naima Joris comes out of the closet with Cold Hard World as it's the first song released from the upcoming album that will go by the name: Tribute To Daniel Johnston. Naima Joris debuted last year with an impressive EP. Five dark, intens songs who will make you dive into her world filled with intense pain, loss and sadness. These songs will however help you crawl out of the darkness and downwards spiral and will give you hope and strenght! Naima found a lot help from Daniel Johnston's music. She decided to rework some of his songs before releasing finally her first full album!

MOGWAI - BOLTFOR

Brand new Mogwai single! The band really wanted this track to come out as it is one they were really happy with but couldn't finish it in time during their recording sessions at Vada Studios for the ATLC album. Going back on the road and doing full tours again is something to celebrate so it seemed to be the appropriate time release this new song to accompany the return to the stage. The band finished the track at their own Castle of Doom studios in Glasgow before heading out the the US earlier this month.

BOOGIE BELGIQUE - MERCURY

The first single from Boogie Belgique’s forthcoming album Machine is the dark, nostalgic, chilled-out trip hop vignette Mercury. Described by the band as "a romantic song about losing someone you love" and "Boogie Belgique’s eulogy to nature & the natural world as we know it”, Mercury gently guides the listener through a decaying forest of memories and nostalgia. "If only we had another day... Hold my hand, don’t let go” laments vocalist Emily Van Overstraeten, meditating on the loss of those things closest, both people and the natural world around us. The track announces a stylistic shift for Boogie Belgique, full of dusty, sentimental sample chops and serene snapshots of the past.

LYKKE LI - HIGHWAY TO YOUR HEART

HIGHWAY TO YOUR HEART is the final single released ahead of Lykke Li’s new album EYEYE. Lykke’s emotive and powerful vocal soundtracks her most intimate songwriting, compressing a lifetime of romantic obsession and female fantasy into a hyper sensory landscape. Synth, piano and spatial percussion combine to create an enormous cinematic wall of sound. Written and produced by Lykke Li and Björn Yttling.

CHARLIE WINSTON - ALGORITHM

Brand new single for singer-songwriter Charlie Winston (Like A Hobo, In Your Hnds, Kick the Bucket,...). "'Algorithm' is about the dangers of loneliness we face when we behave for the sake of algorithms. It is written as a metaphor for a codependent or toxic relationship that constantly promises to fill the hole, while making it bigger."

RÖYKSOPP - IF YOU WANT ME (FT. SUSANNE SUNDFOR) (RADIO EDIT)

Leading the sixth installment of Röyksopp’s intriguing Profound Mysteries project is the haunting If You Want Me, featuring long-term acclaimed collaborator Susanne Sundfør. The track is accompanied by a Martin Werner-directed short film My celium, and Jonathan Zawada-designed artefact and visualizer, further expanding the surreal creative universe of Profound Mysteries. All AV and art is available to hear and see at Press R. “It’s always fun to work with the mushrooms, and I think this song and everything we’re working on at the moment is the best we’ve ever created together.” -Susanne Sundfør

LAURA VEIRS - WINTER WINDOWS

This is the first song co-producer Shahzad Ismaily and I tracked in the studio, playing live together. I love the dirty guitar on this track and the energy of it. I love Shahzad’s drumming and the way the bass part - when it comes in half way through the track - is counterintuitive to the drums (kind of like what you hear in some songs by The Police). It was fun to stretch my vocals on the high chorus near the end. This song gets at my punk roots but feels confident and current to my life right now.” - Laura Veirs.

MOREISH IDOLS - SPEEDBOAT

Debut single from Speedy Wunderground’s new signing Moreish Idols. The Float EP is set to drop this Summer. A defining sonic statement recorded with Dan CareyFloat is the first taster of Moreish Idols’ musical progression over the past 5 years, created with a strictly implemented manifesto: writing solely as a group to allow the blending of each member’s widely divergent personalities and influences, which created a sound that combines jazz, funk, krautrock, dub and punk into something decidedly... Moreish.

YAYA BEY - ALRIGHT

Yaya Bey is one of R&B’s most exciting storytellers. Using a combination of ancestral forces and her own self-actualization, the singer/songwriter seamlessly navigates life’s hardships and joyful moments through music. Bey’s new album, Remember Your North Star (out June 17 on Ninja Tune), captures this emotional rollercoaster with a fusion of soul, jazz, reggae, afrobeat and hip-hop that feeds the soul. Her new single Alright (co-produced by Aja Grant) is a soothing, jazz-inspired ditty that showcases Bey’s love for the genre’s icons like Billie Holiday.
