It started with me launching the news about a clip, listened to it and got hooked. These 4 women from Sweden remind me strongly of Crucified Barbara (their last album is a blast and am still sad they called it a day and also a band from Sweden). Be ready to rock!
The Light In The Sky reminds me in the beginning a bit of a Bon Jovi song. I dig the fine backings, the tempo and the vocals. The song is catchy and the tempo has a lot of variation. On stage it might become a real sing-a-long song!
Black and Gold sounds like retro hard rock with sometimes a backing voice run through a vocoder or a computer. The guitars are excellent, just as the tempo! The chorus is pretty catchy. At some point the song even becomes a sing-a-long song! I can see the feedback of the audience during a gig! This song will rock you! Just succulent! Come on louder!
Raise Your Hands demands for a live version. Can’t wait to see the feedback of the audience! Smooth rocking with good lyrics and the perfect vocals! The song mixes the best of Pink with the best of Crucified Barbara!
Hot Mess is a slower one with a bluesy feel. Maybe DJ’s can actually also use it as a slow as it has everything for it! Feel the pathos, the emotions and let the vocals overcome you! Vocal wise this is a blast: powerful and filled with real/lived through feelings! Wow!
Wasted has a high tempo and will be a killer track on stage!
Watch Out is a good screamer, rocks, goes fast and is filled with energy! It’s a song that literally screams: watch out, here I come! Finger licking good! What a bomb and what a guitar solo!
I Don’t Know You sounds like written on tour and thus like a real story. I dig the tempo and the sound (just as the backings)! The chorus is catchy as hell!
Looks No Hooks feels like something that really happened and the lyrics got worked out after a heavy (vocal) fight. The backings give a good extra strong sound, just as the guitars. It’s a smoking hot song!
Loud and Free rocks and sounds so good it has to become a hit! This song just asks for fame! It has it all to make it: strong vocals, a good tempo, a catchy chorus, excellent backings, hot guitar play and the right person behind the drums! I feel this one will be an excellent live track too!
Try With Love reminds me of Crucified Barbara, has a good tempo, screams at you, good lyrics and catchy parts. It’s the kind of songs you have to have in your playlist!
Stratosphere is an old school hard rocker with a bluesy tone. I like the drums, the backings and guitar play! The sky is the limit for this band!
Borrowed Time is the second slow. I hear some melancholia, some blues and some sadness. Halfway we get some power play. It’s to me the perfect closing track for this excellent album!
I really enjoyed it! There are no fillers and I will keep this one in my playlist! I’m sorry If I dropped a bit too much the name of Crucified Barbara but this is what they remind me about and I really miss this band (they left the scene after dropping their best album ever). I hope to see them one day on stage!
