WÜLF7 is not what we can call a pure EBM band ... The musical influences of these 2 Wolves sometimes different are creating what we call “Dark Electro Body Melancholic“ Sounds … That’s the perfect definition of our music.
I DON'T WANT (ANYMORE) hits hard, whilst the vocals are not always understandable. The sound is a mix of old school and high tech 2022 (and that’s really a great thing).
MORBIDE goes fast and hard! I think I can even hear a real drum. Must be a cool track to perform on stage!
W.A.W.W.A. starts a bit in a chaotic way, but works it’s way out and becomes a modern EBM track, just sad it’s so hard to understand the vocals.
EBM NATION is the perfect EBM anthem with a classic sound and a modern touch. The song has the right vibe and a really great tempo: crafted for the dancefloor and for gigs! Be ready to scream along with the chorus!
WÜLF and TANK (feat T.A.N.K.) has a slower tempo and you can hear that both vocals are merged into (almost) one. It must be great to perform it on stage and might even sound a bit more like the heroes of EBM: Front 242!
W.A.W.W.A. (I.I.W.I.I. by TC75) is the first remix but doesn’t get better then the original as it gets a floating sound and looses a bit of its drive.
I DON'T WANT (Remix by FIRST AID 4 SOULS) is a good remix: the sound is wider and warmer. I know FIRST AID 4 SOULS from the past and it’s good they keep on confirming the high expectations!
I DON'T WANT (Remix by SLEEPWALK) is a good remix, but not the perfect match. I hear a more modern and more elaborated sound but it misses that extra sparkle to make it really work.
MORBIDE (Remix by ASTMA) is a good remix that stays close to the original but adds extra bleeps and keeps the tempo high.
I DON'T WANT (Remix by PLASTIC NOISE EXPERIENCE) It’s always a great honour to be remixed by Claus (PNE): here I clearly hear the new input and the influences of PNE. The music gets a level up! I feel like they can perform this one together if they one day share a stage (at a festival). I’m pretty sure Claus will be eager to get it done if the timetable allows him.
W.A.W.W.A. (Gevaundan Remix by TO AVOID) is the last one and is done by a project/band I don’t know but I like the result. The sound is good, the tempo is good and it fits with the original idea!
I must say I gave up a while ago and was ready to leave the EBM scene for a long time, but somehow WÜLF7 got me into reviewing them and got good points in the end, so congratulations! I have never seen them on stage but with this review I got a good feeling!
