Slasherpunk is the new (3rd) album by Peruvian Horrorpunk band Los Morts. It is due to be released on June 30th through Uk label We Are Horror Records. Recorded between August 2022, and March 2023 at the Hablacaza Records Studios in Arequipa, Peru, and like their latest recordings, it was produced by Giovanni Villar. It brings together the original lineup of the band, after 6 years! Comprised of Occiso, Kaesar, Lugosi.
The albums cover image was designed by Canadian artist Anthony Noble, based on original ideas by Occiso.
At it's heart, Slasherpunk is a concept album. A new genre, which embraces Slasher Movies as a main influence. That coupled with an immersive sound will make each song feel like a sharp knife getting under your skin! The tracklist ranges from slasher classics (I.E.) Profondo Rosso, Psycho, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, going through the 'golden' age via; Halloween, Friday The 13th, Elm Street, My Bloody Valentine, bringing us right up to date with Candyman, and Scream.
