Brussels based duo LOVELORN DOLLS is back with this new 2-track single which also includes their cover of THE CURE's "Lullaby"Kristell and Bernard confirm now that the LOVELORN DOLLS are definitely back in town and reveal a brand new song where their favourite tiny girl protagonist lets us discover her “Dreamworld”, such a strangely attractive world or should we best say attractively strange world!?

Dealing with the solitude scourge in our hyperconnected society, this bittersweet goth pop song is lead by catchy joyful melodies wrapped in a constrasting veil of melancholic cold wave. Kristell’s vocals are both provocative and addictive while the guitars add that uplifting lingering touch to this beautiful tune.

And like Kristell says it, winking: “any resemblance to real people is purely coincidental”…

Before starting the actual review I would like to say that the artwork is absolutely great! It's clear that Kristell has a talent for art (but hence: I alrady knew that and just got it confirmed again).

Dreamworld sounds like modern dreampop wih a touch of old school New Wave. Kristell's voice sounds well. I'm pretty sure fans will adore this one too!

Lullaby comes vocal-wise close to what The Breath of Life could have made out of it. The music is a bit different from the original too (i can hear some new electronic elements). It's an amazing cover version that will make Robert Smith happy and I feel like he might even ask her for a gig next time. I'm pretty sure The Cure fans will love it too!
