Las Vegas-based hard rock/metal outfit Alura return with their boldest and most chaotic creation yet: “Sorry, Nate” is out now via Out Of Line Music. Originally conceived as a lyrical and compositional experiment, “Sorry, Nate” was never intended to be released. But what emerged was a song too raw, too complex and too emotionally charged to keep hidden. Drawing on contrasts of violence and peace, captivity and escape, and the quiet war between memory and identity, this single marks a new creative peak for the band.
'Sorry Nate' is a song that was initially written as an experiment for how crazy Drew could go with his writing,” says the band. “What came to be is arguably our most ambitious and chaotic endeavour. The title comes from accidentally waking up Drew’s son, Nathan, while screaming the vocals late into the night.”

"Alura" derives from the 1940s comedy "She Wouldn't Say Yes." It was the name of a woman who was both a sociopath and a temptress who could not keep men from pursuing her. The group decided this name was perfect representation of the alluring sound of the music being created as well as their eclectic style.
Their sound derived from a variety of influences that emulate the intense aggression of Slipknot, Ill Niño and Korn mixed with the beautiful melody of bands like Deftones and Thrice.
Formerly known as We Gave It Hell, this 4 piece hard rock and metal outfit based out of Las Vegas, NV quickly flourished in the diverse and chaotic music scene. The band toured most of the US, Canada, had multiple festival appearances including Mayhem Festival, Las Rageous and Extreme Thing and played shows with some of the biggest bands in rock/metal in the world including: Bring Me the Horizon, Godsmack, Coheed & Cambria, Parkway Drive and more.
