Belgian electro-industrial pioneer Suicide Commando returns with the “Final Stage” EP, dropping July 18, 2025 via Out Of Line Music on limited edition CD and limited red transparent vinyl. Marking a powerful reflection on the project’s origins, Final Stage is a ferocious return to form — raw, stripped, and uncompromising.

The six-track EP is not a nostalgic detour, it’s a transformation. Featuring five reimagined versions of songs from Suicide Commando’s groundbreaking 1994 debut album Critical Stage, these are more than remixes: they are full-scale modern reinterpretations. This is how Critical Stage would sound today, a collision of classic aggression and cutting-edge production.

The EP also includes “De weg,” the first Suicide Commando song ever performed in Johan’s native Dutch. "De weg" will already be released on June 5, 2025.

Well, I jumped into the scene in the early nineties and was thus on time to see and follow the growth of Suicide Commando (from opening band to headliner). It’s great to see how things went up and keep on going great!

Where Do We Go From Here? [Final Stage] is the rise of the beast: the beast is woken up and the path is long but looks victorious. Now we know the answer, but back then it was indeed a question mark. The beats are good, the sound is indeed updated and is top notch! It feels a bit like what Front 242 did with their live recordings of their classic tracks!

H.I.V.+ [Disease Disease] is lyrically speaking still actual (just replace the named disease). The monstruous vocals fit perfectly with the lyrics. The sound shows the slowly growing disease.

Traumatize [Shaking 2025] is a harsher version, with modern sound, perfectly updated! The songs sounds like fit for the dancefloor!

Fate [Death is Coming... Again!] still sounds dark and scary, this time with a more modern sound.

Necrophilia [Body to Body] the focus here changed from the drums towards the beats. Don’t forget Johan is also a drummer and in the original version he showed it off in a great way. The lyrics are about something really disgusting (sex with a dead body), but the song is written in a way that fans scream the chorus all along.

De weg is a nice translation into Flemish from Where Do We Go From Here? It’s a first timer and doesn’t sound bad at all. You will have to adapt to it a bit, but it’s a great first timer!

Well I’m a fan of these newer versions! It’s great and like this we get the live sound implemented on a studio recording (like I said, check what Front 242 did). Can’t wait to see the big ma back on stage again! Let the beast rise!
