Blutengel return with their new single and music video "Afterlife," out via Out Of Line Music. The track is the third pre-album single ahead of the band's forthcoming new album, set for release in early 2027. Slow-burning and heavy with atmosphere, "Afterlife" is a darkwave dancefloor track built around the contrast that defines Blutengel at their best: melancholic, cinematic electronics undercut by a pulse that initiates movement. The track blends sensual synth architecture with a beautiful melodic core, equal parts introspective and club-ready.
The single arrives as anticipation builds for the band's forthcoming album, and ahead of their headline appearance at the Dark Summer Open Air Vol. 2 at Wasserschloss Klaffenbach in Chemnitz on September 12, 2026. The show is approaching a near-sellout, and will be supported by Chrom, Destroy Me Again and Ghostbells.
