Almost three years after the acclaimed "Black mouths", tons of gigs, tour and a memorable roadtrip around Cuba, Parisian Alternative Hardcore/Rock/Punk band The Prestige is about to release a brand new full-length album. Recorded and mixed by Amaury Sauvé (As We Draw, Birds in Row) and mixed by Bob Weston (Ceremony, Mono, Shellac) this new record is expected in April on CD/LP and digital through Basement Apes Industries (France), Bad Mood Records (Switzerland), Brutal Beatdown Record (Cuba) and Nature Morte (The Prestige own imprint) amongst other local labels. In the meantime, The Prestige has just unveiled a short video teaser spread on YouTube and all the past recordings from the band are digitally available on Bandcamp or for physical on the band's webstore.
For the record...
Born around 2009 from the ashes of French metalcore band Draftdown, The Prestige, hi-energy quartet from Paris, plays a mix between (post) chaotic hardcore, intense punk, metal and rock under constant injection of adrenaline.
A few months later, the band released its debut recordings with a DIY EP called "A series of catastrophes and consequences". Then, after some great live performances, The Prestige began to work on its first full-length record : "Black mouths" finally released in 2012 through Basement Apes Industries, Brain Ache, Enjoyment Records & Tangled Talk. In 2014, the band recorded their second album in order to unleash its new musical creature in 2015.
