Echo Image – Walk My Mind (Pitch Black Drive)

After 20 years Pål-Magnus Rybom decided to revive Norway's no. 1 synthpop act, Echo Image! Having had great success with their album "Compuphonic" in 2001 and the singles "Skulk", "Need To Be Proud", "Standing Alone" and the club-classic, "Endless Day", it all came to an end in 2002.

In 2016, the compilation "Compulation" was released on LP, and a release-party gig was held locally in Fredrikstad, and hopes got up among avid fans that more would come out of this, but nothing more happened at that time. NOW, FINALLY, the new single «Walk My Mind» is here, and was released March 1st. on all digital platforms and streaming services via Pitch Black Drive, and it is just a warm-up for things to come later in 2021!

Enough promo talk, let’s start talking about the music: Walk My Mind is a very catchy synth pop track with soft vocals and all dressed up in a very 80’s feeling. I also adore the female backings. The sound is very sweet and sounds like a fresh breeze of air in summertime. I describe it as a possible hit as it just needs some airplay, some good reviews, a little pitch and the rest will come!

We also get 3 more remixes and first one is done by Technomancer feat. Angst Pop: I hear more synths and more electronic drums, the catchy and sweet sound is still there. The Golden Coast remix puts a bigger focus on the sweet vocals and gives it a very poppy touch. Last one is the Apoptygma Berzerk remix: you’ll hear the music (with a floating air) more than the vocals.

Next big thing is a clip and a full album! Can't wait!
