BASA MORTUKO - which means “desert climate” is the name of the new music project of Kyoko Baertsoen and Ronald Vanhuffel. Both artists share a love of bands such as Dead Can Dance and Massive Attack and in 2020 they decided to co-operate on a debut album that is atmospheric as well as cinematic.
The production was carried out by Ronald Vanhuffel, who additionally played and arranged all the instruments on the tracks. (Irish Bouzouki/guitars/bass/drums and programming). Kyoko wrote the lyrics and composed the melodies. The result is mesmerizing and the best track featuring Kyoko so far!
