Ruben Block has a new single as solo artist with Turning on A Fan & Bat Eyes (BE) are finally back with a new single: Forever Wasted! The new Ben Harper has sharp lyrics and is supported by great music! Julia Jacklin also has a nice and very sweet new single! Emma Peters (BE) launches a new summer hit with African summer vibes! It was a hard choice, but I go for the catchy retro sound from Bat Eyes!

RUBEN BLOCK - TURNING ON A FAN

Ruben Block surprises with his brand new single Turning On A Fan. A groovy drumloop gets the party starting, a beaten and broken guitarriff ads flavour and Ruben hits the nail with his deep and bluesy voice. Turning A Fan’s cut & paste pop is more akin to Beck than Triggerfinger, but you can’t deny Ruben’s knack for a great guitarriff. Recorded and produced in LA with Mitchell Froom (Elvis Costello, Randy Newman, Crowded House, Los Lobos), the song has a way to creep inside your head, it’s groovy and wonderfully weird yet highly addictive.

BEN HARPER - WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT IT

3x Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter/musician/producer Ben Harper shares blistering funk song We Need To Talk About It, whose lyrics defiantly address the wounds of slavery, with the release coinciding with Juneteenth. His voice is punctuated by the devastating question, “How does a ghost forgive?” Ben says “music has great capacity for communication like a sonic newsprint. I’ve always believed that music I write has a place in that choir".

BAT EYES (BE) - FOREVER WASTED

Forever Wasted is the first single of Bat Eyes' upcoming debut full album,. Written by Bat Eyes's lead singer and main songwriter Koen Wijnant, the song's simple arrangement and select instrumentation made it the perfect track to be recorded live-in-studio by the band. Its catchy and powerful chorus delivers a vibe reminiscent of 90's greats like Oasis or Pixies, while having all the assets to become a live favourite on future shows.

EMMA PETERS - C'EST BON

Young and talented, that's Emma Peters! She launches a new and very summer-minded single: C’est bon! Julio Masidi (Aya Nakamura) prouced this future hit (at least if it get's pitched in the right way).

SUZANE - BELLADONNA

She launched first Clit is good and marked her comeback! Suzane unveils now Belladonna. It's a poppy single with a catchy summer vibe. Belladonna is also a toxic plant, so be aware of that and keep your distance!

NATION OF LANGUAGE - ANDROGYNOUS

Androgynous sees Nation of Language return with a brand new cover of The Replacements' 1984 classic anthem which celebrates gender non-conformity relationships. Presenting an entirely reimagined interpretation, the indie-electronic duo deliver an 80s new wave production built on playful synths and punctuating drum programming. Ian Devaney’s vocals bring the unmistakable Nation of Language take on contemporary indie electronic which they are growing to define.

JULIA JACKLIN - I WAS NEON

I Was Neon is the driving lead single from Julia Jacklin’s highly anticipated new album, produced by Marcus Paquin (Weather Station, The National). The previous single Lydia Wears A Cross, was championed by Humo, ‘Duyster’ and Radio 1.

MOREISH IDOLS - HANGAR

Speedy Wunderground continue their immaculate run of label signings by adding a new five-piece to their ranks today with London's Moreish Idols. Born from humble beginnings in a Cornish coastal town, the band recently relocated with a strictly implemented manifesto: writing solely as a group to allow the blending of each member's widely divergent personalities and influences. This melded a sound that combines jazz, funk, krautrock, dub and punk into something decidedly... moreish. Produced by Dan Carey, ‘Hangar’ is the second single after Speedboat.

KUEDO - SLIDING THROUGH OUR FINGERS

Sliding Through Our Fingers is the first taster from the forthcoming album Infinite Window that showcases Kuedo’s mastery of emotive synth composition. “The music gives me a feeling of how time slides past us, how we try to hold it,” says Kuedo. “I thought of sand sliding through open fingers. And how time is such a blurry moving stream, like we dream of our future lives, that open horizon turns into memories, how the current time keeps recalling the past to us. How we just sail through time, no matter how we feel about that.”

LYZZA - LUCKY YOU

Amsterdam based, Brazilian-born producer and vocalist LYZZA is Big Dada’s latest signing since relaunching as a label run by Black, POC & Minority Ethnic people for Black, POC & Minority Ethnic artists. Making waves in the contemporary electronic scene since the age of 17, LYZZA is a force to be reckoned with and has been described by Beatport as “one of electronic music’s most promising young avant-pop producers.”
