Warhaus, the moniker of Belgium’s foremost alt-crooner Maarten Devoldere, returns with new single 'It Had To Be You'.

Following recent single 'Open Window', 'It Had To Be You' is a second taste of new music from the flourishing artist. Devoldere's second solo album, Warhaus (2017) drew comparisons to a "millennial Leonard Cohen", singing deep, dark and groove-ridden songs of love and hate, managing to be both romantic and searingly brutal at the same time.

"You’re mistaking me for someone in control", he sings over irresistible melodies. Talking about the new single, Devoldere confesses, "Sobering up from love is a painful affair. it’s failing your p*ssing test at work day after day until one morning you’re finally free. That freedom comes with the irresistible urge to enrol your name on the list once more. Love, a beautiful mess forever more"
