True North's debut album from the young Los Angeles-based quintet features two big names of the scene: Kellin Quinn on the song "Your Confession" and Aaron Gillespie on the single "Out Loud". The album is released worldwide through Out Of Line Music.

Noel, the lead guitarist, states on the release of the debut album: "We are beyond excited to be releasing Out Loud, as well as a mix of emotions every artist has when releasing their debut album." And Tim, the singer, adds: "Listeners can look forward to an album which compiles every point of inspiration that has built True North, full of compelling lyrical themes and blisteringly electric music reminiscent of decades past but with an engaging melodic depth of focus never seen before".

Not Alone (Single) has a melancholic touch and a good guitar sound! I like the hot screams! Next to the guitars we also get some bits and pieces of electronica.

Your Confession (feat. Kellin Quinn) is another single and you can hear why as the sound is really great, just as the pathos and the energy! I also adore the female vocals here!

Save Me starts slowly with vocals that show pain. Once the song is in full bloom you can hear the desperation and the sorrow. It’s not a song that will make you happy, for sure! I like the bombastic feel and the pathos! The music is great too!

Out Loud (Feat. Aaron Gillespie) is way softer as expected! No loud guitars or electronics until the end: going to a high! Sadness reigns!

Fix is about relational problems, whilst the music goes up and down like wave on a wild sea.

Breaking Point is again a very good song about emotions and about how far you can go or endure before reaching your breaking point. There is also a lot of variety withing this song as it goes from soft to hard, back and forth.

Underneath has a positive vibe and good screaming vocals.

Stalemate has a touch of R’nB in the beginning with fragile vocals and a bit of electronics.

Feel Anything is a very emotional rocker and talks about emotions and relationships.

The Center Frame mixes rock with electronics and is filled with emotions.

Gasoline is a good screamer, with a tiny electronic layer and guidance on the vocals. It’s a very emotional song, filled with feelings.

Forever (Bonus track) has a more positive touch as all the other tracks. The guitars sound good, the music is melodic and strong. The eclectic electronical parts are smoothly mixed with the rest.

It was hard to review it track by track. Overall the sound is really great, just as the vocals. The lyrics all go about the same thing: feelings. I don’t think I will review their next album.
