C-LEKKTOR - New World Disorder (Bonus Tracks Edition) (Alfa Matrix)

One of the leading bands from the Mexican dark electro scene strikes back! After having been focused on some side-project activities and other collaborations over the last years, mastermind Markko B. launches a new age, a new sonic era for C-LEKKTOR.

With “New World Disorder”’, C-LEKKTOR breaks 5 years of extended silence and pandemic struggle and brings his electronic arsenal to the next level. By fusing the classic dark hellectro style made of upbeat industrial EBM assaults and sinister icy melodies, with new elements of chaotic modernism, C-LEKKTOR will undoubtedly dominate the underground dance floors across the world. From the merciless cold dark electro of “God Killer” and “House Of Pain” to the frenetic sound of post-apocalyptic tunes like “Eradication” or “Armed And Loaded”.

No mercy, no compromise – “New World Disorder” ’s commandment Markko B. is testing your body’s resistance by setting the aggression bar higher than ever and unleashing his devastating machine sounds straight into your face.

“Are You Ready For The Bass?” is C-LEKKTOR’s new slogan. Shut up, surrender and embrace the power as a full atomizing blast. A must-have release for all lovers of dark hellektro music in the likes of SUICIDE COMMANDO, HOCICO, ALIEN VAMPIRES and other NOISUF-X.

The album starts with Countdown To Armageddon and just sounds like the title, guided by electro/industrial music.

Fire In The Hole is a floor filling clubber with heavy bass and harsh screams. The music is just perfect and this song deserves to be a (hit)single!

Don´t Be Afraid Of The Dark serves us a simple but very effective techno minded sound with a deep bass sound! I feel it will be a great track to perform on stage as I can feel the energy within the vocals! I like the tempo too!

House Of Pain is a foot stumping hot track that comes close to the best Suicide Commando tracks, but has a higher tempo, more beats ana a more filled up sound! I can see people jump up and down during this song whilst the band performs it on stage! See the crowd getting really wild! The breakdown is also a cool thing (halfway).

Eradication sounds like a revamped 80’s arcade game, remixed with modern tools and some warfare sounds. Feel the beats and the aggressivity! Listen carefully to the lyrics too! This one should be a (hit)single! The global sound is just perfect and needs to be pitched!

Obsession is not a cover version of the song with the same name (an 80’s cult hit), but something new. The tempo is a bit low, the female vocals in the beginning are cool and almost makes it like: showing two sides of the story of this song!

Insurrection brings us back to the dancefloor with this mid-tempo song. Towards the end you can almost literally feel the bass and percussion!

God Killer is one of the future hits on this album as the global sound is just perfect, just as the chosen narrative side on this song! Feel the power, feel the bass and feel the energy!

Me gets a mid-tempo and fuelled narrative parts! I like the warm and deep sound!

Death Dealer shows off why Mexicans are so good in this kind of music and mix that with a modern sound that fills the room!

This is what I wrote about the next song when it first got released on the EP and I still stand behind my words:

Are You Ready For The Bass? Is the main track and is perfectly described by the title! It’s clearly a club and dancefloor orientated track with harsh vocals and fitting beats and electronica! This is the perfect way to announce a new album and keep the people in the heat! I hope DJ’s will spin it indeed and count on the label to get it done! Just like I shout it out right now!

New World Disorder was also released on the previous EP but in remix modus. Now we can finally listen to the original version! The song has a retro touch, mixed with modern tools and electronics.

Armed And Loaded is the last regular track and has some drum’n bass in it. At some point the song sounds a bit like sung by Johan Van Roy (Suicide Commando) whilst Markko B. creates the sound, adjusted by some narratives from movies/series.

Well I can say I’m happy I reviewed (by the bias of a sound cloud link). I’m still missing the big promo by the label. As I really love C-Lekktor I made an exception for one of my most important rules: no download, no review. And I’m glad I broke my own rule to support this artist who fully deserves the support of fans and people like me from all over the world as this album contains possible hits (if pitched well). It makes me sad as the label is getting runned by people who did great work in the past!
