This is one of the artist I have been following for a long time and it pleasures me I can review it before I take a break. The sound and the vocals have always been very inspiring for me, so let’s check out the new album together!

Dead For Years goes about death and loss, just as the new album from The Cure. Once you reach a certain age it’s a natural thing as you see a lot of people going away from your circle of life. Death is our last station and yes we travel from station to station: birth, growing up, the adult life, the elder (if you are lucky) and as last one: death. The music is haunting (post punk/ synth pop), melancholic and beautiful, just as expected!

Turn My Head is a slow one and goes about judgements people make. The sound mixes old school 80’s (just listen to the drums and synth) wave with minimal wave.

Fly Away With Me has already been launched as a single, is catchy as hell and thus had to become a single! I adore the global sound and the vocals. It’s a proof that made in Sweden is not just a stamp, but a label of quality! The acoustic guitar is great, just as the deep bass guitar sound (nicely done by the producer).

Tomorrow is a nice and more synth pop orientated track with a good vibe.

In The Dead Of The Night carries a bit of sweetness and a catchy slice mixed with a bit of melancholia. The music is a bit poppy and that’s good.

A Little Less Blue sounds really good, like how a good single should sound like. I hear hope, I see light at the end of the tunnel after a very long and dark episode. I started nodding my head and clapping with one foot, that is always a good sign. Well done!

It’s A Lie has very sharp lyrics and drums that remind me a bit of a The Cure track (from Pornography). The sound is darker, more depressing, … an incoming emotional bomb!

The Light I Need sounds like a bluesy rocking track with a slice of melancholia.

Weirdo is a nice post punk track with a good tempo and a good global sound. It has the power of the upcoming spring at the end of a long and dark/cold winter.

Great Times Ahead starts with a piano and vocals that spread darkness and melancholia. At least the start is totally not what I expected when I saw the title. In the end it’s a very emotional track that got me blown out of my socks.

It’s clear that this album has a lot of variation: sound, genre’s, tempo, vibe’s, lyrics, … It’s a real good one and I heard indeed a few tracks worth a single/hit. So get the album and goo see them on stage! Good luck, my friends!
