Dancing In The Dirt has a higher tempo but yet a very spring-minded feel. It’s not only dancing in the dirt: there is also a bright light, hope and a lot of positive vibes.
At Dusk is a piano driven track with a violin in the background. Galine show’s her unique and strong vocals. It’s a real wow momentum!
Love Is A Getaway is a soft jazz minded track. Jazz is not my cup of tea, but I like the global sound here. Her voice sounds great!
The Alphabet is another dreampop track with Galine’s angelic voice on top.
In The Name Of Love is a soft and sweet song with nice vocals. It’s clearly Indie-pop of a high quality. And no it’s not a U2 cover.
Frida is another piano track where Galine’s voice goes high and low, like a walk in the park. It’s a bit of a show off, but the song is also very fragile and might give you some goosebumps!
I Forgot About The Sky starts with an acoustic guitar (with other sounds in the background), her fragile voice leads the song. The song grows in power towards the end.
Girls, Girls is a mid-tempo track with a cool bas sound and dito drums.
Cake For Dinner is an acoustic end-track, gently weeping (like the piano).
Conclusion: Galine has a beautiful voice: she can do the high and low game as if it’s peanuts. She presents us fragile tracks, a bit of dreampop, some jazzy stuff and some mid-tempo tracks. She’s a jewel that shine’s bright and yet I’m sure she will work more and it and raise it’s value to make shine even more! It’s just a matter of time and experience!
