Heimataerde - Hick Hack Hackebeil (Out Of Line Music)

The undead templars of Heimataerde return with a catchy mix of Electro, medieval music and Neue Deutsche Härte on their new single Hick Hack Hackebeil - a smashing harbinger for the epic new album Aerdenbrand.

From the first note you hear kids singing and you know it’s going to be an earworm like only the best ones can deliver! The vibe is utterly positive and makes you jump up and down, almost like little doggies who see their master waving with a crunchy bone! I’m pretty sure it will be picked up in club land! Mixing the lyrics (a real horror point of view) with this kind of music is pretty non-conformist, but hey this is how we know this band! Whilst the radio mix goes more into the direction of And One, the album remix goes more into the German version of VNV Nation. The namedropping defines the quality of the track! The club version gives us a catchier version with the perfect beats! Your kids will adore it and you’ll be sweating on the dancefloor! It will be a floor filler, for sure! Let’s hope the axe stays home and keep the party going on!

The old pilgrim-tune Stella Splendens also gets a techno and club land treat. Once again it’s pretty amazing how they combine old/medieval tunes with techno music anno 2016! The band is also providing a catchy club-compatible interpretation of the Jewish medieval song Tsur Mishelo. I hear a women singing, but I don’t see any names in the short bio that has been send out by the label. I must say that this sing in time like these is also pretty non-conformist, but hey I’m repeating myself, right? And ow, yeah: I adore it! Hick Hack Hackebeil is released as a hand-numbered Digipak MCD, limited to 666 copies. You’ll have to be fast before they run out of stock or simply wait until the album is finally released! I can’t wait!
