I met Severe Illusion ages ago (during the Eurorock preselections) and kept on following this very interesting Swedisch electro/Industrial/experimental project. They just released new material on the 6th of March: a four track EP.

The EP starts with Crash Test: a slowly building up electronic track with some industrial elements. The vocals are distorted and sound like a hellish monster that slowly tries to get you into a hell hole. The sound is well worked out. The song even invites you to dance once the building up of the tension has reached a certain high.More bits and bleeps comes with the minimal electro/industrial track called Humiliation (Parts I & II). Harsher and more into industrial is Neocolonial Spasm. This one will be loved by a lot of industrial fans! There are distorted vocals and clean vocals mixed as if both get their say in an oral fight against each other. The repetitive sound gets every now and them extra noize-directed bombing. Trigonometry For The Criminal Insane mixes a floating sound with a danceable electro minded infusion. The vocals are almost clean. I can see some people dancing on it, confined in their own house. It's a great end for a nice EP!

It was a pleasure to review it!
