Rave The Reqviem are Sweden’s metal pioneers. They have a modern hybrid sound of metal and electronic music – delivered with catchy choruses and majestic symphonies. They sound fresh and strong and sometimes even funny. Listening to their album felt like cool breeze during a hot summerish day! Enjoy it together with us!

Oh, The Joy! Is an acoustic track that almost sounds like a joke with a Christian touch (as sang in a church during Christmas). My kids hate this song, but it sounds clean and pure and you can hear the both singers (The Prophet & Sister Svperior) have a good voice. Their real sound comes with the electro-metal bomb called I Bring The Light. The vocals sound like twisted with a metallic touch, you’ll hear some screaming and a cool duet whilst the tempo is high. I adore the chorus and the song has a cool video too!

Holy Homicide sounds softer and sweeter, but the choir gives it a funny touch (if you match it with the lyrics). Riptide goes faster and can even make it onto the dancefloor if you like fast songs with a sweet melody.

Colossvs sounds softer as I expected when I read the title, it also sound soft and sweet. Music wise it’s a mix between a rock song and a pop song. It has a slice of a ABBA feeling. Phantom Pain has a modern touch and could figure in one of the newest Final Fantasy game (for sure the FF7 remake). It has a bouncy feeling. We hear some guitars, but also some modern beats and blips. Alpha vs. Omega is riding on the same wave but also gets some male church choir in the backings whilst the couple mixes the effect on their vocals and keep it very interesting. There is also a short touch of industrial in it. By The Horn Of Joshva is a cool rocker. She Will Weep starts with the sound of a commercial, followed by some hip-hop minded raps and some more female fronted vocals whilst a slice of Abba gets into the game too with now and then a monstrous screaming. The poppy sound towards the end wins it! Aerial keeps on going with the modern sound and the effects on the vocals. I start a bit to wonder how do present it on stage. A bit more into industrial is Majordomo, at least until The Prophet opens his throat whilst Sister Svperior ads a bit of Abba to it. Last track is He Cometh Forth Like A Flower and its nothing more but a bombastic outro.

Well it was fun, but the album could have used a ballad or at least one track totally different as I had a bit too much the feeling of hearing a tiny bit too much of the same, however I like their approach! I enjoyed it!
