The „Electrostorm“-Sampler is back! Vol. 9 unifies the best of Dark Electronic on one CD – 17 partly brand-new and exclusive tracks for the price of a single! Time to discover some pearls and replay some hits from the past year!

We start with Solar Fake and I Despise You: I must say it’s a cool mix between Depeche Mode and Mesh! I miss a bit of passion or fire in the vocals, but there is a grain of success growing in this song: it’s a matter of giving it water and show it to the sun! I like the beats and the tempo. Every compilation has bands on it that we yet have to discover and first one is: Too Dead To Die with Tropical Gothic. The song is a mix between electro and techno and is clearly dancefloor orientated! The vocals are not bad (I always focus on the vocals). Blutengel Wir Sind Unsterblich: sounds like how they sound anno 2020 and we all know that nowadays they are on regular base number one charting in Germany and are getting more and more fans all over the world! Classic electro vampire track! Next is an unknown artist to me, but sounds pretty good and catchy: Ashbury HeightsWild Eyes (feat. Madil Hardis). It’s a cool club minded track. A more poppy synth attack comes with Solitary ExperimentsThe Struggle (Midnight Resistance Remix). Another hit with Blutengel is: Blutengel+HocicoObscured (Club Version by Hocico).

Another important artist for this label is without any doubt: Suicide Commando here with the hard hitting track: Bunkerb!tch. Enjoy as you won’t find him on a Belgian compilation! Harsh electro and cold screams comes with: AmdusciaJust Feel And Enjoy. Dive is a dinosaur in the genre, using mostly old machines and now with a new album and fresh blood on board, hoping for a better result and not repeat the same beats/noize over and over (at least I hope). So deal with Death Machine. A complete other sound and more chaotic comes with the last one from the Russian lady from KiberspasskDerevna. It sounds fresher than Dive, for sure! Unknown to me, but with cool beats and dancefloor orientated is Yellow LazarusVicious Memories. One of the hottest bands in their genre is for sure: Massive Ego and they score with Digital Heroin. Catchy as hell and a huge retro hit is for sure She Hates Emotions with Don't Leave Me! More fun and a retro sound comes with Rummelsnuff and Interkosmos. Our Mexican friends live now for years in Germany and has clearly become an example for the harsh electro/aggrotech bands: HocicoCross The Line (Remixed by Zardonic). The typical drum’n bass/dubstep from Zardonic gives it a special touch, but keeps it a great track! Some foot stomping and dancing comes with the hard hitter from CombichristLast Days Under The Sun (Fear Of Domination Remix). I already adore the original, but this one is great too! Last one comes from the brothers of Rammstein and they call themselves: Ost+FrontSex, Schnaps und Gewalt (Dickpik Remix by Yellow Lazarus). It’s the kind of tracks they can air during Love Island, Temptation Island, the Naked Attraction … And in clubland. It’s funny and brainless!

Most of the times samplers and compilations are boring, but this one is simply great and will pleasure a lot of people and will get others into the music of some bands and projects they yet had to discover! So, great work!
