I’m not sure if I have ever seen them on stage and I’m pretty sure It must be my first time reviewing them. It’s a strange situation, but I was for years part of the New Wave and Gothic scene and now turn into a metalhead whilst aging. The album will be out on 15th of january!

They start with Zombie Apocalypse: a song that sounds like a mix between AC/DC (vocals) and Iron Maiden (music and lyrics). I like it, just as my 12 year old son who’s words form the first sentence about this song. I like their fire as they sound much fresher and younger as the newest Metallica. For me they play in the same pool as Testament (a band I have seen before on stage and already reviewed in the past). Next is already the main title: Too Mean To Die. It’s a fast rock metal track with guitars on fire, hammering drums and a high voltage! I like the backings singing: I’m a man with a mission! Steamy rock comes with Overnight Sensation (with strong backings) and a clear 80’s touch! The sound is catchy too. No Ones Master gives you a very long guitar solo and sounds a bit like the best power metal tracks from Manowar. The Undertaker starts softly and gets stronger once the backings jump in (and gives it a catchy feel). The song sounds a bit like an ode to one of the finest wrestlers: The Undertaker, but it’s also a job one has to do. I hear some Gravedigger and some Manowar in the harder parts. Another one that sounds a bit softer is Sucks To Be You (but has a catchy chorus with an 80’s touch). Symphony Of Pain starts like a rolling train going at full speed and sounds like it’s a bit too short (but that is always a good thing as pleasure is never long enough). The Best Is Yet To Come is a cool ballad and is sung with a clean and clear voice. It’s typical for metal bands: they deliver the best ballads! How Do We Sleep takes a while before I hear actually some vocals, even afterwards it’s like a lot of guitar solos and hammering drums and not much singing (and the backings give it a X-Mass touch). Not My Problem is a cool rocker (a bit like one I miss on the most recent AC/DC album). Last one is Samson And Delilah is nothing more but a long outro with no vocals. A bit weird for such a great album!

Well: I liked it, more then what I expected. I had to get used to the vocals and the similarity with another famous singer, but hence: I had more pleasure listening to this one!
