De oprichter van Stone Temple Pilots, frontman Scott Weiland, liet weten dat de drummer Danny Thompson het na 7 jaar is 'afgetrapt'. Later plaatste Thompson volgend bericht op zijn facebook wall: "I have just officially QUIT the Scott Weiland solo band. Loved playing with the guys for seven years but it's a matter of self-worth. Not going to elaborate."
