On "I am your Darkness", Johan Van Roy turns his rage inward. The track is a brutally honest confrontation with depression, self-doubt, and the constant war against one's own demons - driven by pounding industrial rhythms, EBM architecture, and vocals that oscillate between fury and despair. Tom Shear of Assemblage 23 brings his signature emotional clarity to the collaboration, resulting in a track that feels both relentless and deeply personal. Two cornerstones of the dark electronic underground, connected in an anthem.
Lyrically the song makes no attempt at comfort. Lines like "I am your darkness / I am your pain / I am your master / and I am your reign" frame the inner voice of depression as an external presence, something to be faced, named, and ultimately fought. The chorus, "Kill your demons / kill your fear," offers defiance rather than resolution. It is heavy music doing what heavy music does best: externalizing what cannot otherwise be said.
"The song deals with depression and our constant fight against our own monsters and demons."
The physical EP arriving December 3 expands the release with three remixes: DSTRTD SGNL drives the track toward the dancefloor; label mates KLLSIGNL deliver the "Wendigo Cut"; and J Wølf adds his own take on the original.

About Suicide Commando
Suicide Commando is the solo project of Belgian musician and producer Johan Van Roy, formed in 1986. Beginning with a series of self-released demo tapes in the late 1980s, the project steadily evolved into one of the most important and enduring acts in the harder electro and EBM underground. The 1994 debut full-length Critical Stage marked a turning point, leading to a string of landmark releases including Mindstrip, Axis of Evil, Bind, Torture, Kill, Implements of Hell, and the 2022 album Goddestruktor, which reached number 9 on the official German album charts. Club anthems like "See You in Hell," "B.T.K.," "Die Motherfucker Die," and "Hellraiser" remain cornerstones of the dark electro scene. This year marks the project's 40th anniversary.
