Cloé du Trèfle is a Brussels based band and toured all over the world. One of their tours took them to Brasil and guess what?
"The Quarantine Experience" -team from Brasil and Raul Machadocontacted Cloé du Trèfle and asked if the could realise a confination clip for them. One thing lead to another. Next to Cloé 2 cellists playes figure in the clip: Thècle Joussaud and Céline Chappuis.
What is “The Quarantine Experience”? It is a musical meeting made at distance where the bands record their routines during the quarantine and harmonize them with music. The musicians use their cell phones in order to record their routines. Each one of them in their own house, thus respecting the social isolation. We coordinate everything from home and magical things have been happening!
We are going through difficult times full of uncertainty and changes both internally and externally. But it is important to face this moment as an opportunity for reflection and also to grow, to share and feel the others even if remotely.
The moment calls for protection and care. In this context, art helps people to fill the emptiness of not being able to be together with our dear family and friends.
Thus, it is interesting to know how each one of us faces isolation. Numerous creative actions emerge from it. Actions that in difficult times strengthen us and make us move towards a finer path. Then, there is nothing like outlining this path looking for the most human - filling yourself with love, compassion, reflection and art!
So… there is no need to take off your robe! Grab the popcorn, the beer or the juice! Put on your leggings, your tennis shoes or your guitar and c’mon kick out the coronavirus with us!
