Oh yeah! It feels good to let you know that tickets for dunk!festival 2022 are now available! I bet you are as excited as we are to count down to another real life edition of our festival. It feels like ages ago and we can't wait to welcome you all at the new location: De Vooruit in Ghent. Most certainly the new venue and the extra opportunities that come with it will create an exceptional weekend full of wonderful shows. And this brings us to the very first lineup announcement for dunk!festival 2022. We're excited to present these four bands!

After having achieved a legendary status due to their hard work - they once released four albums over the course of four years - and intense touring, American doom metal trio YOB will blast their sonic tsunamis on our stage for the first time! Forging solid, but raw riveting juggernauts, their music has a psychedelic twist to it that will get under your skin and take you on a heavy eclectic trip. Impossible to resist!

Montréal-based trio Big Brave layers minimal folk music with elements of drone, post-rock and ritual-like chants to create a vortex of heavier mesmerizing music that will put you in a trance state of mind. However signed on LA’s experimental metal label Southern Lord - home for like-minded acts as Sunn O))), Earth and Sleep) - they embody Canada’s rich experimental body.

This three-piece stoner/doom/post-metal outfit already wrecked our stage on previous editions and will present their new album Mazza! They are punk-energy renegades who fully embrace the devil-may-care, anything-goes aesthetic that makes attending shows such an exciting experience… Better not miss Malämmar wreck our stage once again!

When you combine elements of post-rock and shoegaze the outcome most likely translates itself in broad, orchestral yet melancholic movements. Beautiful and frail melodies are supported by impressive, overwhelming bursts of noise and well-timed crescendos. Add some whispered vocal refrains and you end up with Outlander, a UK-based slow rock quartet. Their rippling tunes will rapture your mind and bliss your soul and remember: a foreigner is just a friend you haven’t met yet.
