The new SinHeresy effort ‘Event Horizon’ further enhances their unique sound made of punchy modern vibes, powerful riffing, captivating atmospheres and unforgettable melodies. Each song is perfectly crafted around the crystalline voice of Cecilla Petrin and the strong vocals of Stefano Sain, which blend and duel from time to time while the rhythmic session is heavier and dynamic, showing touches of melodic metalcore influences.

The breathtaking 10-tracks ride leads the listener on a journey towards the unknown, representing the endless discovery of the innermost emotions, virtues and frailties that sometimes we keep hidden even from ourselves.

Opening with a blast: The Calling aka a mix of an angelic female voice, strong male vocals, hard hitting drums and guitars on fire!

Black Spirit grabs a bit back to a more grunge minded sound, but hits a tiny bit harder. The tempo is great, just as the chorus. This is a bit like how a duet with Nickelback should have sounded like! It feels like this one has to be a single with a video launch!

The Life You Left Behind starts with a more commercial sound, explodes pretty fast and has a sweet tone and Japanese metal influences. The guitar play is succulent andCecilla Petrin really has a great voice!

Castaways has already been launched as a single/clip and was the song that convinced me to review the album as I adore the combined vocals and the synergy between them and the band!

Brighter Days is a magical duet/power ballad! I’m sure some people will dance on it with their partner! If performed on stage I’m sure it will be a put your light on and swing with your mobile moment! I adore the sweet feeling you get whilst listening to this song (despite the lyrics).

®evolution is more metalcore minded and rocks your socks off once completely on fire! The softer moments enlighten Cecilia Petrini angelic vocals!

Forbidden Desire has a sweet touch and mixes it with a more rocking sound.

Event Horizon I Gravity is a piece with no vocals, just some modern and more electronic minded music, a filler is you ask me.

Event Horizon II Entropy sounds like a fresh breeze during a hot summer! I feel a positive vibe and hear only good things talking about the music.

Event Horizon III Singularityis a fragile tearjerker where Cecilia Petrini shows off her beautiful voice. Sadly they kept the song very short. I feel like they could have worked it out a bit more and rebuilt it into a real song.

Well: the album is not bad at all! The vocals are really great and I feel the chemistry with the other band members! The production is great too! I might see them one day on stage as I enjoyed this album! Take a chance on it!
