ULTRA SUNN have released a new single, giving fans a final peek into what's to come from their upcoming debut full-length record 'US', which will see its global release on April 19th via Toronto's Artoffact Records.
'You & Me' is available everywhere now and is a true showcase of the main theme of the forthcoming record, giving listeners a sonic window into the undeniably strong bond between Sam & Gaelle, and in turn, the core of ULTRA SUNN. The single also further demonstrates the band's ability to create songs which portray the same feeling whether you are interested in the lyrical content or the unforgivingly infectious beats.
On the new single, the band comments:
"It’s probably the first love song we have written. You & Me is one of our most intimate tracks. It’s a song that talks about our relationship (Gaelle and Sam) and what we love to experience together. The verses echo our travels and places that are important to us in which we like to take refuge. The chorus sounds like something we say to each other, as if in all our experiences and favorite places, we were looking for and finding each other.
The video is the third and final part of our “Sessions” series, the first was interspersed with images of our tour in South America and the different cities we passed through, the second was interspersed with images of our hometown Brussels in Belgium, while this third is punctuated with more impressionistic and abstract images, bursts of color and vivid shapes which more precisely reflect the instinctive, sentimental or emotional aspect of the song."
Today’s "Sessions" video follows the live videos for 'Shake Your Demons' and 'Some Ghost Could Follow' which each see the band experimenting with different visual elements, as well as lighting and color schemes which highlight the natural elements in the songs.
On the forthcoming album, ULTRA SUNN shares the following statement: “The album is called ‘US’, like the initials of ULTRA SUNN. In addition to being a reference to two records that we love, VU (Velvet Underground) and AM (Arctic Monkeys), it reflects the more personal texts in this album – the bond between us (Gaelle and Sam) being stronger than ever, a new musician joining us on tour, and the bond that we have created with our audience / how the concerts are carried and experienced all together with strength and love. It’s our album, it’s yours, it’s about US.”

Embarking on multiple legs of touring throughout this year with select festival dates (Sick New World, Catch One, Resistanz, Dark Malta, Verboden, Amphi), the band will embark on an EU / UK run before switching continents. Then, the USA tour will take the band from Denver, CO through Seattle, WA, when they will return to Europe for another EU leg, including a special album release party at the Orangerie au Botanique in their home town of Brussels on June 1st.
In June of 2023, the duo released their first track via new label home, Artoffact Records, ‘Broken Monsters’, which was followed later in the year by ‘This Is Not About You’ to wide acclaim. With the second single, came the announcement that they were working on their first full-length LP, for which the specifics are now revealed!
The contemporary EBM/Coldwave/New Beat sensation hails from Brussels, Belgium and was formed in late 2019 by frontman Sam Huge and keyboardist/producer Gaelle Souflet. In 2023, they were joined on stage by keyboardist and percussionist Alexis Andrigo. The name ULTRA SUNN stems from Gaelle and Sam's reflection on aesthetics, light, and the symbolism of the sun, embodying the couple's ideals.
In 2020 with the release of their hit "Keep Your Eyes Peeled," the duo gained widespread recognition, performing concerts all around the world, from Brussels to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Calgary, Sao Paulo, Mexico, Bogota, Berlin, London, and beyond.
ULTRA SUNN expresses a desire for modernity through its themes, fresh approach to sounds and collaborations (Kontravoid, Kris Baha, Curses, Sarin), while being the heirs of the famous Sound Of Belgium and classical EBM.
Their 3 previously released EPs called ‘Night is Mine’, ‘Body Electric’ and 'Kill Your Idols’, all borrow from their activities in classical arts and fashion shows, their New Beat and EBM inspirations and their desire to create dancing and luminous hymns about self improvement, gender equality, and fighting against anxiety.
