**Reject The Sickness**, a five-piece metal band from Belgium, has been storming the scene since 2010. Their music plunges into the raw, turbulent world of outcast youth, exploring themes like abuse, neglect, and self-harm, and navigating through these dark realities. Their lyrics, though fictional, are enriched by the real-life experiences of their vocalist Guy, a dedicated social worker. Their sound is a powerful blend of rhythmical death metal, relentless melodic aggression, some atmospheric Black and a dash of metalcore.
2025 marks a monumental year for Reject The Sickness as they celebrate their 15th anniversary. To commemorate this milestone, they'll release a new album, "Signs of the End," worldwide on May 30. The band continues to push their style, going the extra mile. Lyrically, they keep delving into the human psyche, exploring the struggles of growing up in a dark place with neglect. The lyrics delve into the minds of the neglected, showcasing their inner fear and hate, and how it fuels their desire for revenge. However, revenge in an adult world is hard, leaving them trapped in their thoughts. Musically, Reject The Sickness continues to evolve their style, more rhythmical, atmospheric, and catchy. It's harder, rawer, straight to the face, and melodic. They've even ventured into the realm of atmospheric black metal in a few songs. Reject The Sickness is here to stay. In 2025, they embark on a journey of total label independence, believing they can do better on their own at the moment.
