VLAD IN TEARS, the band that is taking the global gothic dark metal scene by storm with their unique and powerful sound, is ready to release their highly anticipated new album, "Hide Inside". With a perfect blend of dark atmospheres, devastating riffs, and profound lyrics, "Hide Inside" is set to mark a new era for the band, solidifying their position as one of the most influential and innovative forces in contemporary metal. I had the pleasure to get it one monthe before th release and by now I spinned it ore then 50 times ... I think that says enough about how good the album is. Read it all underneath:
Hailing from Italy, VLAD IN TEARS have already built a growing international fanbase, thanks to their ability to blend dark metal with gothic, industrial, and alternative rock influences. With a sound that knows no compromises and a visceral image, the band has proven their ability to captivate even the most discerning listeners, remaining true to their artistic vision without ever compromising with current trends.
The new album "Hide Inside" explores themes of inner darkness, mythology, and the confrontation between the material and spiritual worlds. Each track is a powerful narrative that takes the listener on a psychological journey, suspended between reality and dreams.
"Hide Inside" is an auditory experience that is rooted deep in dark metal, yet simultaneously challenges the conventions of the genre, with fresh sounds and musical experimentation. The album was recorded with the utmost care and passion, with the aim of conveying the emotional intensity of each track. The result is a bold and introspective work that showcases the band’s growth and artistic evolution. “With "Hide Inside" we wanted to explore the concept of spirits and invisible forces that influence our daily lives,” says the band’s frontman. “It’s an album that seeks to go beyond the surface, digging into the darkest corners of the human mind and its deepest desires.”
VLAD IN TEARS have yet to break into the mainstream, but their explosive power and authenticity make them one of the most promising bands in the international metal scene. "Hide Inside" is set to be the album that will propel them into the global stage, taking dark metal to a new dimension.
The Monster Inside explodes from the beginning until the vocals bump in (a bit of gothic and a bit of metal minded). I like the global sound, although it’s a bit special and yes that’s what makes this band so special: it’s not the usual stuff, it’s finally something unique and something special! I also adore the vocals!
Your Trace (feat. John Connor/Dog Eat Dog) is a special duet unveiling the unique sound of this band mixed with the typical Dog Eat Dog Style (gosh their last album was a blast too), so in this case it’s really: 1+1=3! Enjoy the guitar play too!
Living Nightmare: starts with a deep grove and some rambling guitars but keeps the tempo a bit low and thus giving the lyrics the lead. In the end (as the tempo goes a bit up and we even get a bit of screams) it’s a great gothic rocker!
No One Cares shows the many ways Christian’s voice can go/handle: from clean to metal minded screams or rather a more gothic minded approach: it all sounds marvellous! He lyrics go very deep, am pretty sure fans will love it!
Touch Me is a dark and yet romantic track or how you can seduce somebody in a dark way!
Let Me Love You rocks in a romantic way, has a great tempo and dito vocals. It’s even a bit catchy!
Empty is a powerful rocker with some slice of metal, a great tempo and showing off how great the vocals are! It’s not for nothing that they decided to launch it with a clip!
I Want This Pain has some metal slices but also some drips of a gothic feeling. The vocal range and diversity is magical! The global sound will ram you out of your shoes!
My Wake is a powerful track that is filled with emotions. It’s metal minded and has a great flow!
No More Fear sounds like overlooking the disaster called your past: leaving it behind with a gothic metal touch and in a very melodic way (with lots of tempo twists).
Real is more a rocker but has also a melancholic side and some slices of metal (guitar play)!
The Death Of Me has a spot in any new The Crow soundtrack! It’s a powerful gothic metal track with great vocals, the perfect global sound and the drive needed to make it sound perfect!
Tomorrow is filled with sadness and desperation: unsure if tomorrow will be a good day. It’s also a great track for headbangers!
Hide is an acoustic pearl and shows off how great the vocals sound in a stripped off sound! I’m sure this song will turn the room into a quiet place where people will just listen to the song without looking at their phones (or putting them up with the light on).
