We already announced the big line-up change (the replacement of the singer) and new it’s time to talk about their new material. I must admit the change was a bit of a shock, so this EP took some dust, but finally I found the courage to give it a try and well, read further if you want to know what I think about it:

First of all: the artwork is once again a pearl: it really looks attractive. My 8 year old son wanted directly have a closer look at it and wanted to listen to the music, without doubting and I think that says enough, right?

Good thing is that the new singer already toured with them and knows the band a bit, making the adaptation a bit easier. Sound wise I hear a bit more industrial influences next to the electronics. Jonathan Thorpenberg vocals sound very clean and even more melancholic (and that is really my thing). The grunting and growling still sounds great, I can feel the fire within the band. Nighttaker is a great track that will make it on stage and will only ask a little bit of time before all the fans feel it’s all right; I tend to give my blessing and will reach out to every new track with all my heart. Daybreaker is a great rager that will conquer a lot of hearts! Raise your fist and head bang all along! The melancholia gives it that something extra and lifts it to a higher level.

Well, once again I can’t wait to review the next album and hope to see the guys finally on stage in my country!
