It was a tough year with ups and downs. Music was often the light at the end of the tunnel. I saw fewer gigs but only got quality, i reviewed a bit lesser, but the quality was higher. I posted a lot of promo stuff and newsflashes: helping me to get more into new music and discovering new beauties, so keep it coming! Thank you all for supporting me and helping the world of music grow. Together we can give our favourite artists a little push. Enjoy music and feel free to join our team!
The comeback album of 2023 has been brought by Dog Eat Dog with Free Radicals! So much variety, good vibes, sharp lyrics and strong songs with also a few softer ones: some for all!
Best live gig & best warming up band: Lord of The Lost with Cellar Twins at a sold out Zick Zack in Ittre (4/11)! Feel the energy of the crowd & the bands! 2 Great sets! Can’t forget to mention the very energetic set of Je T’aime another must see!
My daughter screams for Black Mirrors (BE) as best gig and best album! Followed by: And The Came Fall. Both bands delivered excellent work on stage and in the studio!
Best international album: Lord Of The Lost (Blood & Glitter): great album (tracks work out perfect on stage, such an energy) & lyrics that make a stand!

Best remix: A SLICE OF LIFE - What Doesn't Kill Me (Ashley Dayour Remix). It’s typical like: 1+1=3! The remix makes the song stronger (honestly: not much remixes add a real value to the original). Here you can hear the influences from the original band and from the remixer and lifts the original to a higher level! I feel like they should keep on working together and yes Ashley has been known for years for adding his talents and liftin the level a bit higher! He’s a real genius at work and off course: A Slice of Life deserves an international career!

Best Flemish album Pommelien Thijs (Per Ongeluk): she’s blond but not stupid: makes her own clothes, writes her own lyrics (who matter and makes a clear stand), she can act, sing and is a great performant artist who can be also very warm and kind! She’s the future and the future looks bright!
