Somehow his past 2 albums didn’t get much press attention. I bought the previous one and really looove it: great sound, still rocking and nice lyrics! So what about his new one? Well he even got help from Avril Lavigne, Joan Jett and Alison Mosshart. Is the album worth it? Read it all underneath:

Dream Into It is a soft one with a catchy and lovely sound. You can hear the clock ticking, is that a hint that this one might be the last album? Or is it to announce you will wake up soon out of this pink dream? I also hear some kind of Adrian Belew kind of a guitar sound in the background. The backings accentuate the sweet sound.

We get a more rocking sound with the great duet: 77! Avril Lavigne can open the track, pretty fast followed by Billy Idol himself. It’s indeed the mix of both artists sound: rocking and yet a catchy chorus. I totally understand why this one is the most popular track on the album (so far)! The guitar play is on fire and sounds perfect!

Too Much Fun could be about getting older and not thinking about the consequences of going on with the party as you just have too much fun! Maybe it’s indeed a bit about himself. The roaring guitars sound cool and illustrate the having too much fun part!

John Wayne feat Alison Mosshart (The Kills / The Dead Weather): is not a Red Zebra cover but a real rocker about a legendary actor (known for his roles in great Western movies). It’s clear the duet works as both vocals almost sound as one by moments!

Wildside feat Johan Jett starts softer, has good chemistry between both artists. The chorus might have sounded a bit stronger to get the catchy sound pop up as it should have been. For the rest: It’s a nice and sweet soft rocker.

People I Love sounds like an honest track: looking back at mistakes and second chances granted by the people you love. It’s a nice and sweet rocker!

Gimme The Weight is a romantic and soulful song with a good hook! The backings sound great here!

I’m Your Hero starts with vocals only followed by an acoustic guitar. It’s ballad time! Billy still does it like only a great artist can do it, without getting too mellow.

Still Dancing might refer to his the past and least the guitar play sounds like one of his hits from the past. It’s a great end for this track and I suppose It can also be used to end his regular set with as it’s a song on fire and has it all to end it all in a great way! The chorus is made for you to sing/scream along! This one has to become a single!

Well, to honest: this one is not as strong as the previous one, but has for sure enough highlights to keep it interesting and worth buying! I hope to see him back on stage as I enjoyed him a lot last time! So: keep on dancing as there is too much fun!
