Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds announce their new live album Live God, the stunning testament to The Wild God Tour, which wowed audiences across the UK, Europe and North America in 2024 and 2025. Across 18 live tracks, the album captures the wildly transcendent nature of those unforgettable shows, which were, in Nick Cave’s own words, “an antidote to despair.” The recording feels like as if you are standing in the front row! It's so immersive!
For its final iteration, The Wild God Tour travels to Australia and New Zealand in February 2026. The band then return to Europe in summer 2026 for a monumental run of new outdoor headline shows and festival appearances, beginning on 10 June at Malahide Castle, Ireland, and touring through Germany, Denmark, Czech Republic, Austria, Greece, Italy, Belgium, Portugal, France, UK, Croatia, Serbia, Romania, Norway and Lithuania. The run concludes back in France at Rock en Seine festival on 28 August - with further dates to be announced in between.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds live line up:
Nick Cave, Warren Ellis, Colin Greenwood, Jim Sclavunos, George Vjestica, Larry Mullins, Carly Paradis
Frogs is the first song. I can hear the tension getting build up. Once you hear the warm sound and the gospel minded opening, just as the reaction of the crowd you know you are listening to one of th best live shows of the year! I already loved the single and hearing it now on this live recording just confirms to me it's really a strong track! After all those years Nick cave keeps on amazing us: deeply touching our soul, bringing tears and joy: an energetic vibe. I feel real emotions and pleasure in what he's doing on stage! On stage he feels like a fish in the water!
Next is another single: Wild God! Simply put: this song describes Nick Cave. He's not a wild beast like Iggy Pop, so this title fits him the best! Enjoy the backings too, just as the chorus!
O Children fits in this set like a handmade glove, jus listen to the backings, the band and Nick's live version! Be ready to sin along or shed some tears as it's a real pearl filled with emotions!
From Her To Eternity: is letting out the beast inside of Nick Cave! You can feel the darkness but also hear the crowd singing along! Feel the power! It feels so great I want to jump up and start clapping and singing along as If I'm standing in the front row! Damn it feels so good!
Long Dark Night: slows down the tempo and puts an emotional Nick Cave upfront. Slowly building up the song: sadness reigns. Bring up those small lights from you mobiles and start waving!
Cinnamon Horses brings in more sweetness with a touch of a gospel choir.
Tupelo starts accoustic and with the fans massively clapping their hands. I love it when artists brings songs from the early years and in this specific set I get a lot of satisfaction! This is by far the best live version of this song! The sound is great, the band does what is needed to level up the song and Nick Cave is a wild god with as topping the magnificent backings! I can't forget to mention the auditive feedback from the fans!
Conversion: time for another soft moment. The start has something haunting and fragile until the song explodes in a very auditive way, almost like a wall of sound. Feel the powerful end! This should have been the end song! Just listen to the fans screaming in the end ...
Bright Horses goes back to the more fragile side of Nick Cave. This version gets empowered by the backings (I adore the little breakdown and going back to a minimalistic sound: rising the fragile and emotional side of this song).
Joy is filled with pathos (once again thanks to the backings): just feel it coming down your spine, giving you goosbumps on top. This is the master at work: powerful and triumphant!
I Need You: has always grabbed me by my throat as it's raw, emotional and one of the saddest songs on earth. This is just Nick Cave and his piano: gutting out real emotions. I can almost feel a tear run over his cheeck.
Carnage (taken out from his 2021 album with Warren Ellis) hits you like a melodramatic train, powered up by the mighty backings and the musicians.
Red Right Hand is clearly a fan favourite track (just listen to the yeah yeah yeah's in the beginning). The song has been used in horror movies/series and is by now a classic track. The fans are hanging on his lips and scream along whithout having to asks for it. There's even a bit of a talk with a screaming fan. The massive chants from the audience halfway are really impressive! When the fans keep on singing at the end of the song it gets even more impressive!
White Elephant (taken out from his 2021 album with Warren Ellis) breaks a bit the vibe as you can hear the fans where not expecting this song (at least that is my personal vision here). The song slowly builds up and gets more into a gospel minded song towards the end.
O Wow O Wow (How Wonderful She Is) is a nice tribute, but slows down a bit the tempo and takes a bit out the fire. As it's taken from the last album it had to be played tonight, so I understand that.
Papa Won't Leave You Henry takes us back to th early years and fires up the audience. The song sounds like a raging train: going crazy and as fast as hell. The breakdown halfway lifts the song to a higher level. Once again the yeah yeah yeah's and wow wow's take over the song and the crowd goes nuts.
Into My Arms is a highlight during every Nick Cave gig. The emotions reign here, whilst he uses the aidience as his personal choir and it sounds as if it was all ment like this. Naked pure, just Nick and his piano and a very polite and nice audience (no shouting or people talking through his singing).
As The Waters Cover The Sea is a gospel minded ending: soft and sweet and way too short. If you are expecting a big blow: this is not it.
Well it's a great one, sometimes feeling it as if I was standing in the front row. A great set, just missing the real live feeling at the end/beginnig of each song. I didn't feel it was one straight line as each song is nicely cutt off and each debut is cleared out. Check out the calender and be there as the guy is getting better with each year passing.
